6 Benefits of Annual Maintenance
Here are six reasons why you should invest in annual heating system maintenance:
Heating systems that are properly maintained last longer. A routine cleaning and checkup can prevent wear and tear that could lead to costly repairs or premature system failure.
We recommend annual maintenance to ensure your system functions safely and efficiently and avoid costly emergency repairs. Also, most major manufacturers require yearly maintenance to maintain warranty coverage. Click HERE to learn more about the benefits of annual boiler maintenance.
Heating systems can pose safety risks if not properly maintained. Regular inspections help identify potential hazards such as gas leaks or carbon monoxide buildup, keeping your home and family safe.
A well-maintained heating system ensures that the air circulating in your home is clean. It reduces dust and allergens that can accumulate in the system, helping to maintain better indoor air quality.
Routine maintenance ensures that your heating system operates at its peak efficiency, using less energy to heat your home. Just as a poorly cared for and neglected vehicle struggles to perform and uses more gas, a poorly maintained heating system does the same.
Many manufacturers require annual heating system maintenance to keep factory warranties in place. These services can vary from lubricating moving parts and tightening electrical connections to inspecting heat exchangers to testing gas pressure and burner combustion. Skipping scheduled maintenance can void the warranty, leaving you with expensive repair or replacement costs.
Protect yourself from sudden breakdowns, system failures, and expensive emergency repairs by scheduling your annual heating maintenance appointment today!

A boiler, also known as a forced hot water system, heats water and distributes it through small, round copper or iron piping or tubing. These pipes are sometimes covered by insulation. A furnace, or forced hot air system, heats air and distributes it through large, boxy sheet metal or reflective fiberboard ductwork. Again, the ductwork may be surrounded by some type of insulation.
Your best choice for a heating system is determined by several factors, including the size and layout of your home, your energy-efficiency goals, whether you heat with hot water or hot air, and your budget. Please contact our home heating experts to review your options.
Given that a new heating system is one of the most important investments you will make, it is essential that you install the correct size system. This will ensure that your house is warm enough in the cold months without you spending more than you have to on energy bills. Factors to consider include the square footage of your home, the quality of your insulation/level of heat loss, and the type of system.

David and Reef did extremely excellent service. With David's advice...we had to go ahead and get a new furnace. What he knew with his expertise was there was a crack in the heater head. Which actually could have saved the life of my tenant. I would highly recommend Main Stream they have installed two furnaces in our house. When it gets cold, they'll keep us warm.
Nick was, as usual, great. He was on time and very personable. He took time to answer my questions and go over my options for replacing my system when the time comes. Explained the Mass Save HEAT program and suggested I have a home audit through them to qualify for their no-interest loan program. As always, Brenda was a pleasure to deal with as well! I highly recommend Main Stream Mechanical for all your heating/cooling and plumbing needs.
These guys are good. They did an emergency furnace replacement for us last year, and we went with them again for a new hot water heater. Both times the crews were courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
